GateWay Community Outreach has partnered with Houses of Hope to support orphans and orphanages in Thailand, Burma, India, and Guatemala. GateWay Community Outreach helps fund orphanages and sponsor the orphans, as well as regularly sending teams to do construction and work in the orphanages. |

GateWay Community Outreach sponsors a dormitory that houses 18 university students at no charge. We also pay the salary for house-parent family in the dorm. |

Community Events
- HUNT:
GateWay Community Outreach partners with Beautiful Day to put on an annual Easter egg hunt and community barbeque in the Edenvale and Santa
Theresa communities.
- The Great Pumpkin Party:
GateWay Community Outreach has invited the community to a safe, fun Halloween party for each of the last 6 years. As many as 1500 people have enjoyed free carnival games, inflatables, pony rides, entertainment and lot’s of candy.

- Thanksgiving food baskets
- Christmas toy give-away
GateWay Community Outreach partners with City Team in giving away food and toys at the holidays.
- Winter coats
GateWay Community Outreach distributed over 100 coats to families in need this last winter.
- Single Mother’s Spa Day
GateWay Community Outreach serves single mothers to a great Mother’s Day each by providing them with free spa services, including hair-styling, make-up, facials, pedicures and manicures, and massages.
- Back-to-school backpacks & school supplies
Approximately 750 people came to our annual free BBQ and Backpack give away last August. Families were given backpacks and school supplies to start the school year right.
- Feeding the homeless
GateWay Community Outreach teams serve food and hot drinks to the homeless in St. James Park each month.

Baldwin Elementary School
Over 80 children from Baldwin Elementary School attend an after-school club each week. They are treated to stories, snacks, music and crafts.

Jr. High after school clubs |

Bernal Jr. High
Over 150 Junior High students attend after-school clubs each week. They enjoy games, food and caring adults discussing important topics.
Herman Jr. High
GateWay Community Outreach is opening a 30,000 square foot community center this year. Equipped with a basketball court, pool tables, video games and meeting areas for children and youth, the community center will be a rescue center for at-risk youth. GateWay Community Center has been operating in a warehouse for the last 3 years and is in the building permit process with the City of San Jose. The community center’s Grand Opening is expected in the fall of 2007.
